New HSV 2 Results Could MY RESULTS BE A FALSE POSITIVE

Posted , 6 users are following.

I recently had a positive result. I've been in a Monogamist relationship for the past 20 years with not one outbreak or an std. My result was 2.20. Could it possibly be a false positive. YOUR THOUGHTS?

yes the most probable is to be a false negative. From all those i have read if you never had any type of herpes before, the first outbreak would have been severe, in the first 20 days. Those with mild symptoms or symptomless have previously one type and then they have inoculation of their type or they contract the other type of virus. They already have antibodies to fight the desease.

      this isnt exactly true!

people can live with herpes with out having it in an other location or without any outbreaks for their whole life.

most people never know they have it and it shed virally! not all first outbreaks are severe, everyone needs to be looked at as a individual as each body copes differently!

Autoinocculation doesnt always happen and is highest when someone has active outbreaks and in the first 6 months of contracting the virus!

having hsv1 and hsv2 together can happen but is extremely rare!

have a look at the stdproject to read more on factual information!

there is something in the whole story that confuses me.The virus invades epithelial cells starts replicating but if the body doesn't have antibodies to mark and destroy it, it will replicate as much as it can and it will produce the most possible damage, blisters etc.Afterwards it migrates to neuron cells where it becomes in a latent form. As doctors mention it has a lytic behaviour that means that the virus destroys the host epithelial cells. How a body without previously having antibodies fights the infection so the symptoms to be mild of non existants?I cannot understand this part of the story. They may not tell us the whole truth about genital herpes.

Look, you don't know me, and I don't know you. I didn't use my government name, so it's pointless to make up a story. Furthermore, I just notice on my test results that it says, "Repeat test in 10-14 days may be helpful." I've never had one bump, blister, or breakout in my private area. So I am very concerned. I'm not interested in selling anyone a bulls**t story. Thanks

I know which is even more weird. My partner and I have NOT been active in 5 months due to me having spinal stenosis and Bulging disc (severe back pain). I am scheduled to have a laminectomy on New Years Eve. So again, even more weird. I didn't go to the doctor for std symptoms, it was just time for my annual. At any rate I'm going to retest.

did you guys have partners before eachother? you could be a carrier your whole life without knowing!!

i would maybe get the test repeated and have your partner do the same!

Yes, we've both had other partners, and I suppose I could be a carrier. Thanks
