New medication: amitriptyline

Hello all,

from my previous posts you will know i suffer from GERD, however, in my opinion and my doctors it may be more than just that such as esophageal spasm, mild gastroparesis, dyspesia, functional GI problems, functional chest pain, etc.

however, my doctor recently suggested taking amitriptyline for many of my symptoms including my functional pain & reflux. I've researched it and it seems like a good medication that helps with a lot of things actually. SO, has anyone ever tried Amitriptyline and if so, what were your results?

    Hi

Well I have taken amitriptyline several times in my life. The theory is that in small does its side effects are helpful for a number of problems. While I couldn't say that it was a miracle cure for me, I don't believe that it did any harm, so worth a try
