Hi I'm new to all this forgive me lol. I am newly diagnosed with fibro, depression and anxiety but have been suffering for just over w year now. Unfortunately it was not just something that came on with age or whatever (I'm 24) I was on roaccuante for acne, and started with the "general" pain from a side effect but now it was progressed into fibro. Now the dermatologists that prescribed the drug is looking in to find out "if" it was the cause of the fibro. Has anyone else been on this drug and develop fibro or RA which I was also got tested for.

Sorry for goin on abit as I said I'm new lol😁 My gp advised me to come on here so here's hoping venting here helps.

welcome to the forumsmc187. I was diagnosed with fibro last year, after 10 years seeing many specialists and having loads of tests done. I havnt ever used roaccuante, i did have tests for RA but havnt got that.I think my fibro started after a cancer scare in 2004. you will find fibro is a learning curve on what works for you med wise and what doesnt. getting aids to help you and having a good dr plenty of support will help you. we all try support each other on here as best we can, having a vent helps. take care gentle hugs

    Welcome SMC.....

I have been suffering for over 20yrs with pains in hands, neck, shoulders and back. I was 23 yrs old at the time this all started and now I am 45yrs of age.  Only diagnosed with Fibro Aug 2014.  Since my diagnosis I have had CBT(Cognitive Behaviour Therapy) which has been helpful through the thought process and day to day life.  It has made me feel more confident about myself.  Also have been on a herbal regime which has helped but has not been easy.  If you are interested to hear about my experience i posted one a few months ago on this forum.  If you get a chance please read up on it.  I can message you privately for further information regarding my herbal remedies.

Staying away from stress and being positive is the way forward.

Sending you gentle hugs from ME to YOU wink xx

Thanks for the warm welcome. As u said stress is not our friend and unfortunately as I am still managing to work it's easier said than do. I'm a teaching assistant in a Irish primary school. I love my job n working with the kids but this takes its toll.

I would love to hear more about the herbal stuff as I don't want to be on maxi tram and antidepressants forever.

      Xx
