    It would be initially be massively expensive for the NHS to supply patients with monitors at around £200+. Would GPs want to lose the income the clinics generate. The surgery I go to checks over 100 patients a week at about £10 a time.

      I don't think that NICE is proposing the free issue of INR monitors on the NHS but is flying a kite for self-monitoring. It seems CoaguCheck and maybe others have lobbied NICE to generate more sales of their monitors at £350 each.Ouch!
