New Noise

Last night when drinking water, I heard a 'ding' as if a bell or chime rang. As I looked around the room I could not hear it so I took another sip of water and heard it again
It was then I realized that the sound was actually coming from inside my ear!! I had never heard this sound before coming from my ear. My ear has had that full feeling lately and crackles sometimes when I chew. I was wondering if anyone else has heard a ' bell' type noise when swallowing.

Seems like TMJ issue. Pls see TMJ specialist if possible.

hi, i dont usually reply but i have had this chime sound many times. we cant diagnose peoples problems only tell our symptoms. i have a hole in my ear. i dont know if you do but go to an ent and see. mine somehow repairs itself luckily but i know there is surgery. i can always tell when it comes back. i get dizzy even when yawning or chewing. the chime goes along with it. straining can cause it and also pinching your nose to unplug your ears. dont do that! its annoying i know. go to an ent if it keeps on. the correct word is a fistula. hope this helps, CHRIS

I get strange noises and sounds all the time, a chime wouldn't surprise me anymore.
