hi there all my dear friends..

been reading all ur posts and listening to all the aches and pains u are all in, my back has been bad today but now its easing off a bit, maybe the morphine is working, its hard to tell whats working and whats not eh, as we have all different aches and pains everyday..

Im just about to take my son off to his football training its over in dunfermline so got a bit of a drive on a wednesday and a lot of waiting about, so prob be in pain when i come home so it will be teeth done, tablets and off to bed by 10pm, as i write this post i could sleep now, but will have to wash face with cold water and off i go lol

anyway hope ur not in to much pain my dear friends xx di xx

Yeah Tess, I believe the Osteo pain is worse, but I feel that my meds need increasing now and so I will have to see my GP or pain specialist that is in the beginning of feb so not long to wait!!!!! I hope you are feeling better with your wristsxxx

Bless You Di, I do hope you are ok taking your son to the football........ if I go out I feel it for days later and this happens all the time and as I have no car I have to depend on taxi's but unfortunately I am unable to afford them...... so I only can go on the bus when my hubby is with me.....my spine/hip pain is getting worse, as I can't bend forward and that is my most pain and problem!!!! can't sit for too long as I can't get up from the chair easy and it gos on and on!!!!

Well Friday again! Its been a quick week!

Tess, u were right about jinxing myself....my ruddy arm has been achin like billy oh! Thats what I get for opening my big gob... :lol: How are ur wrists today? Not too bad I hope.

SES, I hope u can get meds sorted out to ease ur pain. I can only imagine how awful and wearying it must be having so much pain all the time. Puts me to shame moaning about my arm. I should thank my lucky stars.

Di, hope ur not in too much pain after taking ur son to the football.

Linda, hope u and Ray are doing ok.

Not much planned for the weekend. Just chilling. Weather forecast says its to be really cold over the weekend, and snow at the beginning of the week. So wrap up warm everyone.

Thanks Ses my wrists are feeling a lot better now. Although the other night went to pick up a candle holder a new one we bought for Christmas and don't know what happened but slipped out of my hand. Smashed on the coffee table and made a lovely mess. We had bought four to go on the table when the family came for Christmas Dinner. Now only have three! Luckily that they were reduced in the sale. :cry: It must be really hard for you to go out on your own Ses. Especially if you pay for it days later. :cry: I feel so lucky that I can get out and walk around. I don't drive so rely on my legs to visit my daughters who live not far from me.

Shall have to make the most of it while I can :lol: .

Said you would jinx yourself Lindy! How are you feeling now? The weeks go by too quick. I seem to get a different pain each day lol. :cry: My wrists are feeling a lot better thank you.

Hope you and Ray are ok Linda and not suffering too much. Don't like the sound of this snow we are suppose to be having. We have a nice sunny day today but the wind is cold. So I went out to visit my daughters and see the grandchildren. Stewart my husband is working over the weekend so going to have a quiet weekend and hopefully catch up on some jobs. Need to clean my oven when I can get motivated. :cry:

well I woke up this morning at 5.30 went back to bed with a struggle as I didnt want to wake my hubby, got woke up at ten am (very good for ethan) and my back has been so stiff all day :cry: my hands are tensed up in pain too, sick and tired of feeling sick and tired !!!!

Well Tess, bless you hun I do that often, drop things that is, I go to grab things and loose my grasp and then I have to get help for someone to pick it up :cry: I hope you can get another candle, but being in the sale they probably all gone? anyway Tess I hope you enjoy your peace and quiet....... Andrew Loyd Webber I am watching and I have no clue to whom I like????? so a fairly boring saturday for me!!!!

hello all my good friends

well today i have been helping john strip the livingroom fireplace wall...when i say helping i did what i could prob pay for it tomorrow.. going to watch my son play football tomorrow so prob pay for it mon tues, oh talking of tues got a phone call to go to the hospital for steriod injections about time.. still awaiting my pain management app... im looking for a new fireplace at moment trying to look on line would be so much easier than going shopping, then in march john is making a clockroom downstairs toilet for me,take all year to finish as we are running out of some money we had.. :x

hope u are are well this weekend and keeping warm, my gas is costing me a fortune about £35 a week, but im in all day and i need to keep warm i hate paying that but i dont have a social life so guess i would rather be warm,,

Had a lie in this am...unusual for me. Normally I can`t fall back over once Im awake. Ian got up for the dogs at 8...and I lay on til 10. Wish I felt refreshed for it but I don`t.. :lol: Im all achey this morning. Hopefully, I`ll limber up as the day progresses. Im sure that ruddy bed has alot to do with it. Its too low! Planning to buy a new one shortly.

SES, Hope ur not as sore today. Unfortunately I dont get the term holidays. Thats only for lecturing staff. Im an SVQ Assessor/Verifier in Care, and also lecture on a part time basis. I do like my job, Im somewhere different every day and meet loads of new people. Involves alot of driving though, which can be take its toll, paticularly when long distances. Sometimes I get out the car like a half shut knife!! :D

Shame about ur candle holder Tess. Lucky ur coffee table didnt cop it as well! How are u feeling today? Hope ur enjoying ur quiet weekend.

Hope ur not too sore after stripping the wallpaper Di. Thats one job I detest(even with a steamer)! Our bedroom is next for decorating. We done the kitchen, bathroom, hall/stairway at the end of last year. Living room was fine as it had recently been done as had Connor`s room. So our`s is last for the makeover.. :lol: #

Gas and electricity prices are horrendous aren`t that. We`ve just switched over to Scottish Power from Scottish Gas. In the booklet, SP charges 15p per unit where SG charges 25p. Mind u, are the government not trying to force the power companies to lower prices? Not before ruddy time. I mean making a profit is fine...but bleeding folk dry just to heat ur home and make ur dinner is downright criminal. (I`ll get off my soap box)

I hope your pain is not so bad today! I watched that show as well last night and then casulty. I thought all three sang the song really well for eurovision. Think we could get higher this year and not bottom. Although the voting is political a lot of the time. :cry: We have had a few snow showers and now we have sun. It is weird weather today! :cry:

Di I hope your steriod injection goes ok on Tues. I know there is never enough money to do what you want. When you have the money you don't have the time. When you have the time you don't have the money. :cry:

Thanks Lindy I am enjoying my quiet weekend. :lol: Going to do some baking in the while and make some yummy cakes. I am not too bad today but always feel stiff when I first wake up. Much better after a warm shower. :lol: The Gas and Electric prices are high. We use to be with British Gas but changed as they were to expensive. We have both electric and gas now with Scottish Power a lot cheaper. :lol:

Well Tess, we had snow showers today, so hoping it doesn't settle as I hate it!!! and so does my hip :cry: the pain is awful and the hip has gone kinda of ice cold to touch this is when I am in so much pain, it is referring into my knees and ankles too :cry: Yeah the euro vision is generally political but to be honest I think for the amount of hit records we have in the charts I am sure they could pick one of them before they sell the cd/record!!!!!! most songs since Bucks Fizz have been crap!!!!! :lol: showing my age now :lol: talking of age, in our local newspaper there was a picture of me in the memories and I was 14 ........ 1987 in a cheer leaders outfit :lol: what a shock, everyone said it was nice!!!!!! time flies eh!!!!!xxxxxxxx

Di I hope you had a good time at the footy, we support Liverpool, I never did actually until I met my hubby but I like it now!!!!!! My son is named after Stevie G \"Gerrard\" one of his middle names :lol: I hope you get a bargain buying a new fireplace online, it is so surprising what you can save!!!! I was looking the other week for my rabbit, a new hutch online and the same one you see in say Argos I went to this firm which was half the price and it was free delivery!!!!!! so well worth searching the net!!!! I hope your pain is not too bad at the moment too xxxxxxx

Yeah we had a lot more snow today and it settled. You showing your age with remembering Bucks Fizz and younger than me. I remember them to.

Not been to bad today with aches and pains. Its this time of night when they start niggling at me. On my own as Stu my husband on nights from now until Thursday. Starting to feel tired now so going to unwind in a while with a book and bed. :cry:

The catch on my washing machine door broke tonight. Have to use a screwdriver in to push in to open it until Stu has time to mend it. Always something but at least I can still use it. :lol:

Hope your hip isn't playing you up too much tonight.

well i woke up today and after i had all my meds felt no to bad and thought maybe my new lots of meds are working... well by 2pm i was like a zombie the fatigue hit me then after i sat and watched some tv to try and relax the pain started.... so been sore and tired all evening.. got my steriod injections tomorrow so hope they help a bit, been looking on line ses and fire places and ur right what a difference in price :o so think i will be ordering on line,

Its great when john gets round to decorating but i honestly get stressed out with the up heavel of everything, im the sort of person that likes things in certain places so feeling a bit stressed with it all..

i hope this bad weather isnt making u all ill.. i love looking out at the snow but here in edinburgh tonight its starting to go all slushy...

Tess i bet u hate when stu is on nights john is backshift this week and he works a 1pm till 12pm so i feel its a long day..

going out on fri night with my sister and friends to a clairvoint night so looking forward to that, just hope im not ill as i like those sort of nights..

I hope you get some relief Di from your injection and I am so glad your new meds are working...... are they Lyrica or medically called Pregabalin? As they work ok for my fibro but not the Osteo???? So glad to hear though hun you are getting help now.....finally, I am off to the doctors tomorrow, to tell him I have re-applied for DLA, as he wasn't my doctor last time I applied as since then I have changed surgeries, so I am hoping he will be ok about it!!!! keeping him up to date that I was in hospital etc too and my hubby has done something to his knee again and so he will be seeing the doctor too :oops: I hope your meds are continuing to work today hun xxxx

I hope your washing machine door is fixable as they can be expensive when they go, as Ethan broke my tumble dryer door and we had to preserve with it, putting the linen basket up against it until we could afford to get it fixed, it packed up though so had to get another one in replace of it!!!!! I hope you are ok with the nights with your hubby being on late shift xxxx we are here anyways hun to chat to, not the same though xxxx I hope your aches and pains are ok today too xx

Well I was playing Mario Cart last night on the Wii with Olivia my daughter and it wasn't for long, as ever since this my left hand has seized up? Not sure what this is?? gonna also tell the doctor about this too......... my hip and knee again is a nightmare but it is a case of just putting up with it!!!

I hope you are resting to Lindy today if you are unable to travel due to the snow?? the snow didn't settle here so I am so relieved...... I don't like everything going to a standstill!!!! I hope you are coping too with your pain??

Hi All,

Snow was washed away when I woke up SES. Pretty unbelievable as there was a good 3/4 inches. I worked from home yesterday so no problems with travelling, but back to the grind today. (was kinda hoping Id get snowed in... :lol: )

Im a bit stiff after my trek with the dogs over the weekend, still some pain in my arm , but apart from that....NO, Im not going to say it. Ruddy well jinxed myself the other day.. :lol:

Hope u manage to get a new handle for ur washing machine Tess. Is it still usable? Not so bad if u can still use it. U don`t realise how much u use them til they go on the konk. Down to the burn and bash ur clothes off a big rock... :lol:

Hope everyone is coping and not feeling too sore with this freezing cold weather.

Yes I am ok. Sorry not been on for a while, but been through a patch of what I describe as denial! It happens from time to time when I think I haven`t really got anything wrong with me and it must all be in my mind. I then force myself to do all the things that I long to do but can`t since i`ve had the fibro and wear myself out and finish up very stiff etc! I then realise that its not normal to be so stiff tired etc and decide that yes I do have something wrong with me.

Don `t know if any of that made any sense at all but for some reason I just can`t accept that this is really happening. It took years for me to accept that Ray would never work again and that that was the way it was gong to be.

Hope you are ok and everyone else too
