New pain in lower buttock

Posted , 8 users are following.

hi. I am 59 and had anterior/posterior repair with sacrospinous fixation eleven days ago. I have been resting well and my pain has been manageable. More discomfort than actual pain. I haven't had any real right buttock pain either as I'd been warned about. Just a slight ache at times. However, I decided to walk a little more than usual today and now have a little more pink discharge than before with a pain in my lower left buttock when I sit. Have I damaged anything or just overdone it?

Hi Angela I was wondering how you are now? I am 14 days post op for cystocele repair, rectocele repair, perenium repair and sacrospinous fixation and think I might have overdone things. I feel really well and pain is minimum saying that I do have a constant dull ache in my right buttock but am sure that will lessen with time. I've been out and about for a few hours at a time since day 9 and been doing light housework and cooking but since about day 11 I too have had pain down both of my sides and pelvic area. I also have a light green coloured discharge but no bleeding since about day 5. I had went 3-4 days without painkillers but have had to resume them since yesterday. I take a sachet of laxido nightly at 10pm and have s smooth bowel movement every morning so no problems with constipation but I am feeling pressure on my front and back passage areas now don't know if it's due to the stitches tightening. I am so glad I got this done as for the first time in 18 years since my 10lb 10oz son was born I don't need to wear sanitary towels 24/7. I'm only 45 so also just hoping I am able to resume sexual relations as this was uncomfortable and very loose before op but definately all feels and looks much better.
