New Red/Purple spot on penis as well as white spot inside pee hole

Posted , 3 users are following.

noticed a red/purple spot on the tip of my penis as well as a white spot inside my pee hole. ive seen a doctor and they said bruising but there is no reason to have a bruise and not sure on the white spots on the inside. i now have to wait two weeks for a specialist appointment and am feeling very worried about cancer. i am sexually active with the same partner for 5+ years so almost ruling out std. hoping someone has some insight!****

You need to get these symptoms checked by your doctor or even better, a Urologist as soon as possible

i saw my family doctor today and they said it doesnt look like cancer but likely lichen sclerosus. ive been refered to a urologist in two weeks and now dermatologist. in your opinion does that look like LS? im just praying no cancer as im only 26 . curious if you have any input

So, first of all, penile cancers are one of the rarer forms of cancer, and it developing in someone of your age is either rare or unheard of. I would further suggest where penile cancer is discovered that men will most likely have noticed the initial symptoms some years previously and either dismissed them, or did nothing about them.

Therefore, for any male with symptoms such as yours they should always get it checked out by appropriate medical professionals, such as a Dermatologist or Urologist. This is the process you are engaged in.

In terms of the white skin you have is this different other than the colouring from the skin around it? For example, is it raised above the level of the surrounding skin? Is it rougher to touch or does it feel the same as the other skin surrounding it?

The photos you have posted are not clear at all - if you can get some clear images taken in bright daylight or sunshine you can upload them for further comment ...

Hi, you do need to be see by a urologist as soon as possible. how long have you had it are you circumcised? Do you have any trouble peeing? It could possibly be lichen sclerosus.

why do you say i need to see one as soon as possibly? just curious. ive had difficulty urinating about 6 months ago but fine now. no pain no itch. circumcised since i was 4

if it was LS it can spread down your urethra and cause strictures so it would need to be treated early rather than leaving it to long. But you have no trouble urinating that's good news you have an appointment in two weeks so I wouldn't be to worried. you probably have this for sometime so another 2 weeks won't really matter.

ive had it as long as i can remember, im 26, has to be into my teens. any idea if the white spot inside the meatus is associated with this or something else to overcome?

I'd say it's all connected.the photos are not the clearest. it's very important that you go to your appointment and don't leave it any longer LS is not a condition that should be left it should be treated. are you circumcised LS Likes the environment of being underneath the foreskin.

yea i have an appointment on the 26th i am circumcised which from what i read makes LS alot more unlikely

OK I thought you probably were circumcised aright. it is more unlikely but it can happen you can have LS on deferent parts of the body. The 26th won't be long coming around are you in the UK? did your GP give you any cream?

in toronto canaada , no cream as they thought it was a bruise

You have been reading up on the condition . did you know of the condition before today. And how do you feel about it. It's good you are going to the urologist some GP might not be familiar with it

yes its been the obsession of the last week, it seems like it would be unfortunate to have but considering i was mainly worried about cancer i would be much relived to not have cancer

There's not much point in worrying yourself that only makes it worse keep positive hopefully its nothing like cancer.
