New Swelling

I am 8 wks post op THR. Two weeks ago at my second post op appt I was told I may have a pinched nerve. I was feeling pain to side of knee, down shin and foot with some discomfort at the buttocks. Of course they did X-ray and it looked good. At that time my swelling was only located below the incision. Eventually I stopped doing my stretches little by little as it would aggravate the pain from the pinched nerve. The last 3 or 4 days I’ve felt swelling up to my buttocks and more noticeable swelling down to my knee. The swelling is more noticeable at the upper/mid thigh. I do feel some at the back of thigh too. I would notice some slight swelling to the knee before and that was where most of the pinched nerve pain was felt. That pain has subsided a lot but I do feel something at the buttocks still.
This new swelling has me concerned. I’ve been more active around the house these last couple of days with lots of bending down as the knee pain has somewhat subsided and the discomfort isn’t like before. I do still feel the pulling/burning sensation down my shin and top of foot still.
I called surgeons office and I will see him in 2 days. He’s not the one that did the surgery and I’m hoping his attitude is a little better than the last time I saw him and he hurried up the appointment.
Has anyone felt swelling like this up that far and down to knee this long after surgery? 🙁
My first THR last year was problem free. But this time it’s so different. I’ve also have been dealing with terrible upper arm pain, horrible rash on my neck, and just got over a cold. I was feeling so darn miserable. Just can’t seem to catch a break.

Sorry. I too have the buttock pain. When i flex the glutes i think it aggravates the muscle. My knee and ankle are swollen too. Ya just can't win some days! The legs really hurt at night.

Yes the tightening of the glutes probably does not help.
