NEW TO Amiodarone

I was recently diagnosed with A-Fib and was initially put on Solitol.  The drug made me feel like a zombie and my cardiologist replaced the Solitol with Amiodorone.  The first night I took the drug I had terrible acid reflux and vomiting.  This side effect continued for 5 days. My pulse rate climbed from its normal 60s to 117 overnight.  I could feel my heart flutter, I'm now on the drug for 10 days and I've lost my appetite and feel slightly nauseous with an upset stomach much of the day. I feel about 50% of my normal energy and I also feel bit down from the pill.  I've been told that the drug takes a while to get into your system before it begins to regulate my A-fib.  Currently, my HR is between 90-110. Not sure what's normal with this drug. I also find it hard to distinguish A-fib episodes from acid reflux so it's hard to tell how often I'm experiencing A-fib on a daily basis. I take an antacid when I'm not sure. Lastly, once the drug is in my system, will it regulate or minimize my A-fib?
