New to Amitriptyline

I. have. been. taking. 10mg. Amitriptyline. for. anxiety. for. two weeks. but. as. yet. have. had. no relief. Would. value. any advice.

    10mg is a very low dose. It isn't something that will work instantly. You should give it a few weeks and if it still isn't helping then you may need to see your doctor again for an increase or to try something else. I started on 50mg but I don't take it for anxiety though.

    I would not think 10mg would help you, I take 20mg for pain, I have also just recovered from depression and I take 40mg of fluoxetine for that, a low dose of amitriptyline is normally used for pain, I would think you need a stronger dose for anxiety.
