    Hi Jed

I'm feeling much the same after 5 wks but I'm on 20mg.

The no getup & go bit I find very frustrating, before I started taking it although I was very anxious I was at least able to burn it off with exercise now I find i'm having to persuade myself to be active. my GP tells me this is normal for this stage but I'm going to see her again next week as i feel its holding back my recovery.

My appetite was affected at first as I found food didn't taste right however, I'm now having carb cravings & beginning to put on weight to watch out for that!

Hope things improve for you soon.

    Hi Jed

I felt much the same as yourself and Rosie my get up and go got up and went. I was also yawning all the time which was really embarrassing, but rest assured it did get better in my case.

    Hi Andy

Thanks for asking. I'm only back voluntary, did two mornings last week & 8-4 today, some difficult moments that my psychologist suggested some strategies for & have worked so a good start. Hopefully I'll get the ok from Oc Health tomorrow & begin my six wk phased return next tuesday.

All I've got to do now is to reassure my colleagues that I won't over work this time, for the last four years I've been using work to avoid what been going on in my head, if school had been open 24/7 I think i would have moved in! A word of warning to anyone else trying that, it doesn't work!!

Anyway that aside I've really enjoyed being there & after 8 mths of thinking that I would never go back, it's a great feeling!

Thanks for your support while I was going through that difficult patch with meds, other than a dry mouth I really wouldn't know I was taking them -apart from feeling less anxious that is!

How are you, any news on work?

    Hi Rosie

Saw the HR manager yesterday and she is still a bit concerned about my mental health and if I am abusing alcohol although my blood test were ok. She wants me to go to my doctor and get another report sent to her and proof that I am having counseling neither of which will be a problem. She has given me another month off and will then review the situation or if I feel able to return before this she will arrange it. I think they feel a bit bad because my stress was caused at work by mis management.

I am actually enjoying my counseling it is really helping with my low self esteem (I wish i had gone earlier!)

    Take care keep in touch

    Hi Andy

Well work sounds more positive, they seem to be supporting you more now. the thing that gets me is the mistrust that seems to go on when you have a mental health issue. do you have a sickness policy at work, or have you like me exhausted it, I'm just wondering why HR are giving you time off rather than your GP.

I've been given a reluctant okay from Oc Health to return to work next Tuesday which is nice as its my birthday. the difficulty with our type of illness (Ive go post traumatic stress disorder) is that you simply cannot give a guarantee about how you will feel tomorrow let alone next week or month. So although I understand its difficult for them too just a bit of encouragement to give it a try wouldn't go a miss! Anyway I'm going back & determined to make it work, at least I don't have problems from my work colleagues as you have, that must make it very difficult for you.

Like you I also have a low self esteem - its a pain isn't it & just gets in the way of all we do. My psychologist has finally found the reason for it which goes back to my childhood so I've got a lot of years to work through & we've had to change the focus on our sessons for the time being. Its good that your counselling is helping with that, are you just talking or doing something specific? I'm beginning to realise that it the key to our recovery.
