New to migraines

In 1995 after my second session of chemotherapy and while recovering from chickenpox, I suffered my first migraine. I only had another two to three in the following 2 months. Since then I didn't have a migraine until about 6 weeks ago. I have now had six since then the latest being yesterday. They are all the same starting with visual disturbances and a numb tongue for about an hour then only a very mild headache for about 3-4 hours. I went to my GP yesterday and he confirmed that these were indeed migraines. I still haven't found out what the trigger could be. And, why haven't I had a migraine for 13 years?

That's interesting, I too have an underactive thyroid (diagnosed about 8 years ago) and my dose of Thyroxine was put up by 25mc about 2 months ago. I am wondering if this may have anything to do with it.

    hi joanie

i really do think that having an underactive thyroid has a connection 2 migraine.
