Hi,

I started orlistat 5 days ago and have so far lost 5 lb. I'm over the moon... what I'm wanting is advice on new meal ideas..I'm running out of options. Also is it safe to eat low fat creme fraiche on orlistat? Thanks in advance for the meal ideas xx

Hi i am new too on day 5 also. I am eating cereal for breakfast. For lunch i have a wrap with sandwich filler and some low calorie crisps and for evening meals i have had things like chicken breast with sweet potato, uncle bens rice. I did have some lamb but think it was too fatty as i had an oily stool the following morning. If you get oily then what your eating is too fatty.

Waitrose do a no fat crème fraiche, however I think low fat is OK, just check the amount per 100g. Try frying chicken breast, remove from pan but keep it warm. Add shallots and whole cloves peeled garlic & fry for a few mins, add tub of crème fraiche, finely chopped rind of a lemon, half pint chicken stock, juice half lemon,4fl oz medium sherry, black pepper & finely chopped tarragon, return the chicken. Et voilà Andalusian chicken!!
