I keep writing everything that am eating. Guys the doctor gave me an app the name is FatSecret there is got all the food from all supermarkets so it is so easy to keep on track ur calories . Anyways,my concern is about the side effects I don't wanna have them at all. But am confused they mean 15 grams of fat with one meal or all the day?

Hello, so its no more than 15g of fat per meal, and the food you eat contains less than 5g fat per 100g- just had a look at the fat secret app looks good, just like my fitness pal

Hiya. Look on every packet , tin u eat EVERYTHING has to be below 5g of fat per 100g. Every label tells u this info.

But per meal u are allowed 15g of fat but has to below 5g per 100g

45g of fat a day. (3meals) if u do it right u never get side effects. Download my fitness pal app that tells u the fat in everything and good to keep track of calories too. I would say stick to 1200/1400 calories a day.

I lost 5 stone in just over 5 months.

    Good luck xx

Hi there, don't be nervous at all, the side effects are there only if you eat fatty foods but if you stick to very low fat then you should be fine. So as people have already mentioned, you can eat 15 grams of fat per meal, 3 times a day which is a total of 45 grams of fat maximum per day. But to ensure you don't have any horrible effects you have to make sure that the items you are eating have 5g or less of fat per 100 grams. For example, if you want to eat a tin of soup, look on the reverse to see the energy chart and look in the column for energy values per 100 grams. Look at the fat content and it will say, for example, 2.4 grams of fat per 100 grams. Then see how much is in the tin. If the tin as 400 grams then you would need to multiple the 2.4 x 4 (if you were going to eat the whole tin) and that would work out at 9.6 grams of fat. When it comes to making fresh meals using fresh ingredients it just means you have to weigh things like pasta, meat, fish, rice etc but your fitness application should help with all that. And keeping a log of everything you are eating is definitely the right way to go so keep that up. Good luck.
