New to PCOS please help!? New symptoms!

I am 21, healthy weight. I have recently been told that I have Polycystic Ovaries after Ultrasound and TV scan and multiple blood tests. At the time of my last app. my only symptoms were stopped periods and of course test results.

However since then I have developed mild acne on my face and keep getting extreme lower ab pain! it is worrying me but I'm not sure if i should wait for my next appointment - this is a month away!

Also I have started having breast problems. One breast is tender, inverted nipple and flaky. It is extremely sore and scary!

Should I call hospital and request app. or wait? Any answers will help and be so very much appreciated as I'm new to all of this!

    I found out I also have PCOS and only yesterday I am also 21. I constantly have lower ab pains that leave me breathless I have worked out that if you stretch this usually dulls the pain slightly. if I was you I would go back to your GP and consult with him on your next steps I'm 5ft 3 and weigh 9stone like yourself there is no known reason for having Polycystic ovaries I am just as freaked out. what has your doctor or hospital advised you to do? My heart sunk when he told me that both my ovaries are covered in cysts that I blank out anything else he was saying....

    Hi Molly,

    I'm 24 and I also have PCOS and have found something that dramtically improved my symptoms within weeks!

    If you read my thread, there is more information on it..

    But basically I found that by going Gluten free I lost weight, I had a period and all pain stopped.

    I have joined this forum because I'd like to let people know about my experiences as they really worked for me.

    I'm not sure about the breast issue though as I never had any of that and it is not typically a symptom of PCOS (that I know of).

    I did have acne though and sharp pain in my lower abdomen when I moved (got out of bed etc).
