    Hi Mark

I have only just started them as well. I have done some reading on them and most sites say that it can take from two to three weeks for the symptoms to settle down. My doctor has also started me off on one 75ml tablet twice a day. She said to start on the low dose and then after a week take one in the morning and then two at night and then the following week take two in the morning and two at night. This should mean the side effects aren't so bad. I feel slightly foggy and sleepy but not enough to think about stopping them. I have a friend who takes them and says she wouldn't be able to get out of bed in the morning if she didn't take them, so I am determined to give them a go. Good luck with whatever you decide :-)

It would never be right or fair for anyone other than your medical people to advice you. To me that seems a lot of pregabalin and i had similar side effects when taking that amount.. I wonder if the sromach pains could be due to some food intolerance. Gluten or dairy are common. My sister had completely got rid of her stomach problems by cutting out dairy.

Anyway good luck. I am rather appalled that LYrica is prescribed so freely when so many people react badly.

This is not specific to your question but i found it very interesting to google "do doctors get paid to prescribe certain drugs"  and do doctors get paid to prescribe Lyrica." There were some interesting responses and will take quite a bit of research if anyone is interested.

Mark, I have been taking 200gms for 2 years, for GAD they were a life saver for me.  I am coming off them now because of weight gain, flatuence, and sneezing, I am seeing my doctor next week and I hope he can put me on one as good. If I were you, I would persevere a while longer, the symptoms might go. You could also ask your doctor for anti sick tablets. I hope this helps.

Thanks Minnimoo and everyone else for your valuable advice I've decided to get back to my doctors for an alternative treatment as I can't take the chance with work etc.

      Thanks again
