New to Sertraline

Around two months back after dealing with building anxiety for the last year (and a history of GAD in my teenage years) I had a bit of a mental break where my anxiety got so bad that i finally felt like i needed to do something about it! After about a month on Mertazapine and realising it just wasn't for me I've been prescribed Sertraline.

I am about 6 days in now (50mg) and so far the only side effects I've felt have been some slight nausea and waking in the middle of the night with some night sweats. These havn't really bothered me after the side effects I had with the mert 😂 But after reading so many topics on this forum and watching videos saying that the first week is the the worst for side effects. I'm kind of freaking out worrying that I will think I'm off the hook with side effects, like increased anxiety, and then it will just hit me like a ton of bricks! I'm starting a new job next week so I'm a bit worried about it D:

Has anyone else experienced a rather easy first week and then it got worse from there? I know its different for everyone but I just want to get a better grasp on if its worked with others in a similar way!

Stay safe everyone xo
