New to shingles...help needed

hi all i developed. rash recently... initially pharmacist said it was ring worm and gave me cream.....then a lymph node on my right hand side of neck became tender and mildly inflamed leading me to go to the doctors.

the doctor looked at the rash and said....its not ringworm...its shingles....

my question....those who have shingles...do you often hve swollen lymph nodes?

the rash is just itchy at the moment but i do feel tired...

is it common to have the lymph swollen with shingles and what hve i got to look forward to? the rash is not too big just yet but is swollen and red...

ay advice would be great
