Hi I feel a little better having found this forum.

For about 3 years I have been feeling absolutely awful with pains throughout my entire body.  My joints seem to seize up and I have gone from being fairly energetic to struggling with life day today. As others have said, blood tests have not shown up anything.  I have even changed doctors as felt stupid when I left my last one in tears.  I no longer know what to do. I feel like running away.  I have a stressful job working mostly 6 days a week.  People ask how I am I just say fine when I am in terrible pain all the time.  I take co codamol prescribed by the doctor and the only relief is they make me feels tipsy.  I just dont know where to go or what to do as you begin to feel stupid.

Hi sorrentogirl.  Not all doctors are helpful , I also had to change mine. I was told it was in my head and I was saying things for attention.  I now have a really good who listens  and is very supportive. Don't let anyone put you down,  a doctors role is to look after their patients no matter what the problem is. Be assertive tell them what support you need . There are normally quite a few doctors in a practise do don't be afraid to change until you find  one who will help you.

    Take care

Well I probably had it tars befire..like you I changed doctors, the I researched it.,,gave my doctor the pint outs, he must have felt a tad dumb as he then researched it...sent me to a consultant then I was finally diagnosed, then it took a year or two to get my meds right...now I'm living with it well...take control of you precious, no-one else can or will, be strong...glad you found this blog I find it very very helpful..as well as feeling...well your not going through this alone..:-) xx. Hiya like yourself I've not long changed doctors and I'm the bread winner in the family although self employed so have a sort of choice of when to work.. I still have to work while in pain I.e whens the rents due it doesn't matter how much pain Im in I have to work through it (alot if the time in tears) so I do really feel for you! The thing that keeps me going is the hope I'll be able to claim any level of PIP and reduce my work hours. Maybe you could look into benefits? As for pain relief. I've not long started Anitriptoline (no help so far) like you I take cocodamol or dihydrocodeine along with a hot bath gives me most relief I've found.

Give your doc a ring and ask him...he knows it's trial and error on this med...or even pop in and see him..better not try yourself just to be legal...:-) xx

Thank you so much for all your replies.  I havent formally been diagnosed but through my own research of my symptoms I am goint to let my doctor know.  My new doctor was sympathetic but having done all the testing she could I felt she clearly didnt know which direction to go ink and i left feeling despondent.  I have no choice about giving or changine work.  I need to get up so early as some times need a good hour to become mobile.  My family dont understand, I am also diabetic and although I try and tell them things they dont know what to do for me, not good!  They just look at me sometimes and so I feel very isolated at times.
