New to this site. Help and advice

HI went to the doctors again for my HS. He's told me that there is nothing I can do about it only advice he gave me was to use Hair removal cream. I'm so upset and fed up with this condition 10 years Its been now. I'm already suffering from anxiety and depression and this is making it worse. A major flare up is on its way i can feel the pain already. I also have had a flare up under my arm that has not healed for about 3 months now to say this least this is driving me crazy. Any advice will be greatly received.

    Hi Christine sorry to hear you had such poor advice I also felt the dermatologist gave me no advice at all on this condition and how to cope with it which is very sad , I've been trying to do alot off research lately and I feel medication is not the answer with the research I've done, I believe this condition is an autoimmune disease and our body is attaching itself due to something not right , like foods and what we put into our body , I've read alot about people cutting out nightshade foods (Google them) also dairy free and read alot about how bad gluten is to people with autoaunme disease so Google it and come to your own conclusion, I'm going to try this from tomorrow I know it's going to be extremely hard and probly will have days where I don't stick to it but atleast i can try and pin point what causess a flair up , good luck with your journey it's a horrible thing to have xx

      Hya thank you for your reply. Somebody mentioned dove so I'm going to try that I'm also going shopping to mo to switch to alpro milk. Like you say cutting out the dairy might make a difference. Xx

    Hi christine24522 ... I have had HS for 20 years I am haveing the same problem as you and the same advice from Dr ! Non if it has worked ! I just started using dove advanced care deordrant the one that's says revive on it and my HS has been cleared up for a week now ! I hope it keeps working! It's worth a try !

      First think I'm heading out for it..for years I've used sure so that has not helped nor makes it worse but dove has to be worthe a try xx

    PS and yes I use the dove deordrant where ever I get it my arm pit under breast my inner leg by growing and it has cleared up my HS !

    Christine i reccomend the hidden plague book. It is is amazing and highly informative. This disease unfortunately has no cure but it can definitely be controlled. Stop the drugs antibiotics doctors visits surgeries all that and start the autoimmune protocol. Look into the hs diet connection group on Facebook you will love the support and plethora of knowledge. I was skeptical at first but wow food really is medicine.
