Thanks for the info i also now take probiotics but have yet to see the results yet. I am going to cut out all sugar products and am watching what i eat via a diary that i write in including how many times to the loo. I bought the proboitics on amazon £16 for 30 tabs a bit expensive but i am going to keep on with them.
Thanks for the reply chat soon i hope

So sorry to read that you're struggling with this horrible disease. I was diagnosed in August and I'm also finding it very difficult to get to grips with although I don't have the frequent trips to the loo anymore. The prednisolone rectal foam worked instantly for me. I used them for a month & then came off them and so far so good. I had my first bought of diarrhoea last night but putting that down to stress as the lat 6 weeks have been pretty unbearable & now my dad was rushed into hospital yesterday with a heart attack so think the stress maybe causing my body to flare again. Not surprised!
Anyway, I digress....I would try asking yr gp for pred foam & after trying several diets including lactose free, gluten free etc, I am now cutting out the food groups which seem to affect us uc sufferers like onions, cabbage, caffeine etc & this seems to be working, well up until last night. You'll certainly know when you've eaten something that doesn't agree with you!
I really hope that things ease up for you soon as I know that flaring can be such a horrible time & can be so debilitating.
Call your gp or consultant - don't put up with this!
Take care
Jo

Thanks forthe compliment on the name it was the cleanest one i could think of! and for the info on the prednisolone foam sounds like fun trying to put that up your botty! but im that desperate i will give it a mention to my GP next time i see him. Meanwhile others have said about cutting out sugar which i intend to do! have you any input on no sugar And sorry to hear your dads not well, i also believe UC could be stress related because i get bad when i start to stress out!
Chat again soon Jo i hope
Take care T.

I just commented on here about my sugar intake - I use truvia in my de-caf but then find myself eating a biscuit 10 mins later so defeats the object!! So....haven't really properly trialled the sugar free thing yet!!
Let us know how u get on T.
Lots of love xxx

No not really, only used the stuff after a tonsillectomy and lost a lot of weight so needed to drink it to gain weight. Is it being used as a meal replacement then or as well as eating a normal diet?
Always so much to learn with this disease, it certainly keeps us on our toes eh?!
Good luck going sugar free 😩xxx

Ask your doctor about loperamide. This has helped me in the past. I thought lansoprazole made me worse.
I found eating alot of fruit and veg made me worse and spicey food.
Hope this helps
