New use for a tennis ball

Hi everyone

With all the pain and swelling in my right leg. I decided to try  something I had seen someone do on the TV to releve cramp.

I have a few tennis balls knocking about for the dogs to play with so I got one out of the  and started slowly but fimly to massage the sorness and swelling away. It really hurt in places I took my time over the areas that were really sorec and it has worked. I have no idea what is causing the swelling under the skin from but could be a lack of being able to walk too much due to the collapsed hip. But I do feel so much better and ,most of the pain has now subsided and the swelling has gone down a lot and most of the tight skin is no longer tight or feeling sore.. I am just going to keep doing this every day to keep the blood flowing. But it is amaxing that although I can still not straighten my knee or bare too much weight through the hip I am able to take a little walk out side again after taking some painkillers.. So at least I can get somne freash air even if it is only walking from my front door to two houses down and back ( approx 72 feet ).

I Hope you all have had a good sunday. Had a pretty bad storm here this morning. But the sun came out this afternoon so sat in the garden after my little walk to soak up a bit of sun.cool

    Hi Hailea

it's all trial and error isn't it?

Any method we can find to ease us through has to be worth it

Glad you have had a good day

I was up really early this morning so by 10am was ready for a lie down. I had the most amazing deep sleep that I have had in years for about 2 and half hours

Hubbie woke me up for a bit of lunch and I hadn't a clue where I was - I think I could have gone back to sleep again

Hope it's the start of things to come, just need to get it the right way round  now as in sleep at night, be awake in day !!

Hope you have a better night

    Kind wishes Linda xx

      Hi pansycat.

      Thank you

I am always looking at ways to make life easier for myself or anyone else. If it works then share the idea. That is the whole point.

I have made adjustments to loads of things in my house in readyness for my operations. I just bought wood and turned them into chair  raisers instead of paying £5.00 each only cost me a couple of pound for all of them.  I turned a bunch of clay plant pots into bed raisers  instead of paying £7.00 each I got 4 for £8.00. If I can save money and put my hand to something and make it myself I will.. I am not worried about using power tools or doing any DIY. I can even fix cars. smile

Hi renee. Oh cool I hope they sort your back out. aswel as any swelling. Just stay away from your wound. Not a good idea to put preasure on that area. I used mine maily for lower legs like calf and shin areas and top of  un operated leg. Great for helping with swo;l;en ankles too.

Hugs to you to renee, x
