hi, 7 years past an early menopause i had got fed up with the continual mild water infections and periods of thrush so the doctor has prescribed Ovestin Cream. i have no other menopause symptoms and am in good health. Im 3 days in (dr prescribed continual use for two weeks and then twice a week) and this cream has created a lot of foul smelling discharge and dull pain that feels like a period. is this normal and will it subside please? Thank you in Advance

hi, sorry I've only just seen your post. I've just stopped Ovestin after persevering with it for 6 months. I got an achey, tender sort of period type pain with it. after 2 months I queried it with my GP and she said it couldnt be from the cream, so I carried on. My experience is that it doesnt go away, so I've given up and now been prescribed Vagirux, which I've yet to start. Thanks for posting, I thought it must just be me!! I hope you get it sorted
