New York!

So i’ve just booked a trip to New York for my 40th birthday at the end of May (birthday in June so early treat!).

I am currently 10 weeks post THR and doing well, get sore when sat at work but walking without crutches and getting stronger.  Am now thinking I need to up my walking to be prepared for all the walking I will be doing in NY! Good incentive I suppose, just hope it will be ok!

    Hi Jane,

You will be sound by June, I had my THR on 11th jan last year and I was perfect in June. My daughter got married in June and I was flying for the day so look forward to the trip but do keep up the exercises and plenty of walking! It will make your muscles stronger! Over the next few months it’s the muscle and tissue that will be healing so exercise helps with this!

Planning my trip to Australia this year!!! Can’t wait😄 enjoy new york👍

You might have a good idea on walking more.  It seems like every time I was in NYC that I walked more than planned

Great town, but one does end up walking a lot. Just tajke a bus or cab if you get too tire. I'm sure you will have fun
