Newbie to HRT

Hi there 😄 I'm new here and just a note to say thank you all.... you have made me feel less bonkers 😄.

Please could I ask some advice? I'm 46, nearly 47 and have had intermittent symptoms for about 2 years now, maybe 3 of anxiety, palpitations, dry mouth etc. etc. Which have come and gone. But for the last 3 months or so, the anxiety, palpitations, racing heart and facial flushing has got worse, in fact every day. I started Evoral Sequi patches 8 days ago (I am also taking Sertraline 50mg and other Vitamins to try and help) but I still have shaking, racing heart and awful anxiety. Will the patches work? And how long should they take to work? I'm desperate to feel better and scared they wont work xxx any advice would be very appreciated

Any HRT can 3 to 6 months to fully work / for the body to get use to them. That what my specialist says.

Thanks for your reply Rachel! it's just find it so scary thinking that I'm going to stay like this... I can cope with the occasional few days of palpitations, facial flushing and anxiety, but not continuously 😊 I hope you don't mind me asking but are you on any HRT? x

Hello! i am 46 in peri had your symptoms plus about 63 more! joint pain & fatigue for me have been off the scale. i tried femosten 2/10 for 5 weeks but had to stop due to bloating & stomach issues, then went on the same as you evorel sequi for 2 months but didnt really see any improvement (had to stop because found a lump in breast that needs investigating doc thinks a cyst) but if i get the all clear going to try upping the patch strength. should really give any hrt 3 months to see improvements, some women also have to try lots of different ones before they find 'the one' to be honest i was really disappointed because i thought it would be my miracle cure. good luck with your hrt journey dont give up x
