    Hello fellow insomniac,

It is absolutely awful to be unable to sleep no matter what the reason.  I think perhaps you have peripheral neuropathy which gives the symptoms you are describing.  It is so painful - I know as I am a fellow sufferer.  I take magnesium (I also take selenium which may help the absorption of magnesium) which can help with sleep issues.  Are you possibly Type 2 diabetic?  This is a horrendous symptom of that disease, which I have.  My doctor has prescribed gabapentin which, to my surprise, actually does help.  I am sorry you are experiencing this as it is both frightening and painful.  Get an appointment with your GP and don't leave without something to help.  We shouldn't have to suffer like this. Hope you get an answer soon. xx

      Hello😂

I’ve had insomnia for as long as I can remember, so honestly I’m really very used to it by now.

I’m hoping to see a doctor tomorrow amongst other things to mention this newest symptom.. it’s very uncomfortable and pretty frightening as you said. I think I was tested for diabetes early on when they ruled out everything else as they do.. but thank you I’ll mention it x
