Newly diagnosed :(

Hi, I have just been diagnosed after a 2 and a half year struggle with doctors for an answer. After a lot of pills, potions and tests. I've been informed this is my life now and it will get worse. Thanks docs.

I have heard of so many different symptoms to have, is there anyone out there in the same boat. New and feeling lost sad

Hi Michelle. Just keep coming on here and reading what's said on the forums. Nothing worse than chronic pain but if you listen to the regulars you will pick up some tips on how others cope. I don't have fibro as far as I know but am treated for chronic Arthritis pain which is 24/7 also. sad  Best wishes Ellie X

Hi Michelle , I have had Fibromyalgia for near on 15 years , yes it could get worse but it could also stay at a lower level , he hasnt a crystal ball , each person is different,  been a shock to you to be diagnosed , but you will learn to cope , and know what you can and cannot do , and importantly pace youself in your daily routine , know when to stop , easier said than done when everyone wants a piece of you , but chatting about it does help .

    Take care  x

Think it is a case with doctors they don't fully understand the condition so basically tell people to just get on with it. Thank you for replying

Omg Sadie, I have exactly the same symptoms except I get really hot and have suffered a sore throat.

I'm sure I have had it longer but a bout of shingles really set it off.

All kinds of pain killers here but after seeing a specialist he put me on tapentatol 150mg per day, they seem to help more than Tramadol.

I hope your feeling well today x
