I am so sorry this has happend to you,I have had it for 5 yrs now so know what you are going through.Stress is a big  part of the Meniers it makes it worse, if you can relax it will help .Your dk can give you a tablet to help the sickness  also keep taking the pills he has given you for the meniers they help with the full presure feeling in the ear.I find if I can sleep an attack off it helps day or night,This is a horrid thing to have and has no cure

Thank you for the reply, was not the news I wanted to hear, I will just add it to everything else that I have, I have autoimmune disease so to add to it is awful, do you work, I had just set up a housekeeping business only been going a couple of months, been off for 3 weeks, my husband and I have just bought our first house after 20'years in the military, I am gutted, I am getting scared going out the house on my own, I don't go out in the dark, end up in the bushes. I am getting very bad sadness and cry a lot.  What to do next, I don't know. Anymore.

Hi Scampi, I was diagnosed with Menieres 12 months ago after a few episodes over a few months. Some were quite small dizzy spells but one last September was so bad I ended up on the floor in the street with people walking passed me, obviously thinking I was drunk. It's odd because all of a sudden it seems like your mental state changes, and hearing seems 'odd' and even some noises seem to case you distress...it really feels sh*t...but...just try to think positive...you're not the only one suffering and remember...this will not kill you.  I've been taking Betahistine for about 8 months and although I have still had episodes (including another one that saw me being sent by ambulance to A&E) they seem to be happening less. So keep up with the medication and even though I know you will feel down and depressed and that you might also be suffering serious bouts of anxiety, do try to perserve. This 'thing' we have isn't likely to go away (although I do hope it does for you) but believe me that as you learn to get used to it (this sounds as impossible I know...but you will...I promise) it will over time ease off and you will learn to cope with it better. Anxiety is one of the big problems and it affected me in a bad way...I struggled going out, and got really withdrawn over a few months, but please do try hard (you'll need to be determined) and make sure you get out and about. Even taking a 10 minute walk will help. You won't feel like you can do it at first and you may be worried but after a few times you'll surprise yourself that 'you managed it' and it will help to build your confidence again.
