newly diagnosed with ulcerative colitis. Prescribed sulfasalazine 400mg , four times a day. Not feeling any better. how long does medication take to work.

A dosage that size and taking the tablets 4 times a day should start working for you within days. Always remember that the body has to adjust to the medication. While large dosages work better than small dosages, large dosages are more likely to cause side effects.
