Newly diagnosed PCOS

Hello everyone! I was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovaries today after getting results back from a recent ultrasound. It was a slight relief as I've been having issues for the past year and seemed to be getting nowhere, so I now at least have some answers. I'm pretty much posting looking for some guidance on how to deal with it, I know everyone has different symptoms and side effects but I'm hoping some people can help.
I also have an under-active thyroid and have done for the past 10 years or so, one of the common side effects of both under-active thyroids and PCOS is hair loss/thinning and it's only in the past year I seem to be having issues with this. Around a year ago now I lost A LOT of my hair, massive clumps fell out and I had to get a good few inches cut off to even it up. However, the hair loss has certainly lessened but I still seem to be losing more than average and have two wear my hair up every day because it's so thin. Does anyone have any advice on how they've stopped hair loss or how they've got their hair back to normal? Like I say, it's been a year and I feel like I've tried everything.
Thanks

Hey. I think i have very mild pcos so may not be the same for you, but I experienced extreme hair thinning a few years ago. My hair since puberty has always been thinning (eg. losing more hair in the shower/when brushing) but i've found viviscal really helps keep on top of this. I've been using viviscal since, for about 3/4 years now. Now my hair just looks naturally fine rather than hair-loss type thin. Try viviscal!!
