hi everyone.

since june ive had terrible vaginal irritation itching and burning. it started 2 and a half weeks after having unprotected sex, ive been tested for all std's,thrush,bv several times all clear. the gps were very dismissive of my problem as when they looked some said mild irritation some said they couldn't really see anything. one doctor even said it was all in my head and to thinking about it. i finally managed to see a nurse who actually listened to me and she referred me to the vuval clinic. While i waiting for referral i just couldn't take it anymore and i went to the gum clinic. the doctor took a look and said it looks like lichen schrolus. she gave me some steriod ointment and told me use an emmoilent which i had been using for a while to wash dermol 500. the steriod seemed to work at first then after a week i was back to square 1. i got my appointment for the dermatologist and she also agreed that it was ls. i have no white patches but both doctors said they specialise in this this and can the signs. the dermatologist told me to stop using dermol and to use cetraben cream. after applying the cetraben twice it make the irritation worse almost straight away. I then went and bought some hydromol ointment. i can tolerate to wash in but as soon as i apply it the irritation just gets worse. I have been on the steriod cream for two weeks with no real improvement . Im starting to wonder if this is Ls. Im so depressed and crying daily its really starting to affect my life now. Does this sound like ls? can i just use the steriod ointment without an emollient

Post a picture please and speak to different doctors.

I found nothing only castor oil would soothe the irritated feeling or having a hot bath with no salts or anything in it. Anything with a hint of an ingredient would irritate me.
