Newly diagnosed with barretts

I have just been told I have barretts and am trying to research as much as possible - I have 10 cm of it so it quite big area - has anyone heard of Halo 360 treatment and has anyone tryed it out or would be happy just to hear how other people live with it and does it cause a lot of worry

    Hi Jackie! I live in the US I also have Barret's. I have been diagnosed 4 years ago. I am also interested in this new procedure.. Halo. I know UCSF  ( in theUSA) offers this procedure and I am going to ask my GI doctor about it. I am currently taking prilosec 20mg per day but I am always itchy and I think is a side effect of the medication. I also have a hiatal hernia which makes things worst oh! and I am 4 months pregnant. I

    Hope I can get more info about the Halo 360 my appt is in 2 weeks. I'll keep you posted! Sending you good positive energy. We are not alone. There are many people with Barret's. We need to support each other!

    Hi Jackie did you have the Halo360 treatment if so what are the results. I mentioned this 360 system to my consulltant and he said he would never let a member vof his family haveit. This is dispite two hospitals in Liverpool offering this. i would really like any information from anyone who has had this procedure. Mal

      Why did your consultant not reccomend the Halo treatment?

      he said it was dangerouse and that someone had died of this procedure.

      I found this strange as I live near Liverpool where the treatment is offered.
