Hi Tanya, yes it takes along time to get diagnosed, i went from rheumatology to neurology at hospital  for the first few years to get a diagnosis.  i have had it about 9 years, and a week ago had a scan to check it was not ms as i had bad dizziness etc. all was clear. all my bloods have been ok too. i think you will have periods  of ups and downs and you need to accept this to cope with the bad bits!   i was doing really well i  lost lots of weight cos of feet pain and was walking well then BANG no apparent reason really bad groin and hip pain last few weeks been really low and so put up my pregablin (meds) last night after seeking advice as i could not sleep and getting so tired.    i am 100 times better today, thats the thing - you can be so much better in a day with this condtion   if you get right meds it helps . i have had to try lots of stuff, and sometimes it feels like they have stopped working. i feel like i am always moaning about the pain. today i have a tidy house and going into my studio for a short time as i am an artist.  you must look after yourself have some warm baths spray tender bits with a magnesium spray before bed. keep off bread i find im better then, and keep active - i swim once a week in a warmish pool, this i find is the only activity that does not make my muscles hurt any more. i was told to keep the things you love and get rid of the things you dont as we have to prioritize our time (i have to sleep during the  afternoon sometimes). you may look at an untidy house but never mind, maybe  family will know something is really up then!   i only put one thing in my diary a day to do and usually its the morning  as better mornings than pm

hope this all helps a bit

any more questions we will all try to help
