I have been really sick for the last 5 weeks. Started with horrible pain under right upper rib area. Then came the nausea and fatigue.. I have had so much blood work scans and test. All of them normal except for the bilirubin and I have an enlarged fatty liver. The Dr.s have confirmed I have GS but say it can't possibly be causing my symptoms. They keep giving me nausea meds and pain meds. Feel like I am loosing my mind. I just want the pain and nausea to stop. I want my life back. Any suggestions or advise would be helpful.

When my bilirubin level was close to 100 I had all kinds of problems and the doctors told me to just live with it.
IBS, or Irritable Bowel Syndrome, is very commonly reported and by this the doctors mean that the digestive track is not normal but they have no specific reason.
I would suggest that you change doctors and demand things like a colonoscopy, a liver function test, a full blood count to include vitamin B12 and D. After a full diagnosis then it should be possible to come up with some proper answers.
In my case we found that eating herbs and spices was causing my GS. I stopped all herbs and spices and now I am back to normal health and the bilirubin level is close to normal.
Good luck..
