You might find it interesting.

    Mrs. K,

I looked for the latest newsletter, but when I click on 'Download our latest Newsletter' in the lower-right hand corner, the June 2009 letter is shown. Is the latest newsletter located somewhere else?

    Thanks.

Sorry it was not on, the lady who puts it in place has PMR and has had a real off day and with a couple of foot of snow to cope with - it has been delayed. Give it a couple of days and it should be there.

    Apologies offered.

RickF, in case you did not know, we are all retired and also PMR or GCA patients who run the support group.

Mrs G, glad you like it, first time I have ever used Microsoft Publisher and I did have fun, although it took me three days.

Can I say, I am always looking for bits and pieces. Email me on this site.

RickF - its on the website now - will be interested in what you have to say.

Managed to get out yesterday for first time in three weeks, had a great time in a supermarket!!! A place I normally avoid like the plague. Just goes to show you will like anything after three weeks in. Mind its thawing a bit up here but tonight its blowing a gale.

    Mrs k,

Yep, got the latest newsletter downloaded. It looks really nice!! Good job. Looks like it was a lot of work. Haven't finished reading it all yet, but looks to have a lot of good information in it.

By the way, I really like the Christmas Tree on the first page. Is that made with green Heineken Beer bottles? What a great idea!! It took me two and half days getting our tree up this past week. It's a fake—but an expensive one with the lights wired in and worked flawlessly for about six or seven years. This year however, one string wouldn't light. I spent 4 hours trying to find the burned out bulb (or shunt) and finally gave up after my muscles started to tighten up. I'll see if my wife will go along with the \"Green Bottle Tree\". I'll have to switch brands of beer though.

C'mon Rick - where's your sense of adventure? What colour are your current beer bottles? Christmas trees don't HAVE to be green do they? It's all very well changing beer - but what might it do to your PMR??? Though I found a wonderful Advent calendar on our way back here from the UK (we called in at our old drinks market in Bavaria to stock up on the local wine which I'm particularly fond of :ok: (it's neither red nor fizzy so I couldn't use those emoticons!). There was this box with 24 numbers on it - a different beer for every day of Advent! I offered it my husband but he turned the offer down  ! I'm quite concerned he might be sickening for something!

Hi Rick....of course the height of your \"Bottle Tree\" will depend on how badly your PMR is affecting your shoulders during construction...on a bad day you might end up with one that is only three feet tall

Eileen....I would definately get your hubby checked out...such behaviour is just not normal, especially in the festive season :!:

As I have not bought our tree yet, am off to see if empty \"Pinot Grigio\" bottles would make a suitable replacement to beer bottles ( I don't drink beer)...they are a light green colour so all I need to do now is empty afew more of them

    love to all, Pauline

Mrs. K. which version of Publisher did you use for the Newsletter? I have a very old 1999 version which I use with XP which I am used to and dread having to get used to something else when I change my computer. I've had it four years and it's creaking a bit. I know I'll have to have W7 and am wondering whether the old software is compatible.

Loved the Christmas tree. I nearly have enough to make one; we haven't been to the bottle bank for weeks! ( well, that's my story, anyway )

Whose are all the animals? I am feeling bereft today as it is the day, two years ago, that we had to say goodbye to our dear little KC spaniel.

Who is the very posh art critic who said if there are no dogs in heaven he's not staying? I'm right with him. Now I'm off for a little weep. Sorry.

I have had Microsoft Office 2000 Professional (2 disks) since 1998, but this time I had to download Cutewriter to convert Publisher to PDF.

I have used these two disks from 1998 through many upgrades. They have never been downloaded onto my computer, I only put them in the 'slot' when I want to work with them.

The animals pictures came from via our Secretary Pam, who had them emailed to her from goodness knows where. More in future editions.

I completely understand the tears, after having cats from being a little person, I finally had to not have a cat(s) anymore in 2002. I still wake up wondering why I am able to move my feet in bed.

RickF, I had to find the photo and enlarge it - yup its Heineken. And I don't drink lager - just Real Ale.

I think a pal of mine sent it early 1990's, but the Sushi was new last year. Oh and thank you for telling the people to remove the . on the survey blurb. These old fingers get stiff a lot.
