Nexium and diarrhea?

Hey everyone. I have been taking nexium for 1 week and today I had diarrhea in the morning. It wasn't too watery, but I also ate fatty things yesterday and didn't sleep well last night. Is diarrhea common with nexium? when should I see the doctor?

    Some people can get IBS from PPIs, if you keep getting more diarrhea and/or bloating, ask your doctor for some alverine. It helps calm down IBS symptoms. When you first start any new medication it can often upset your tummy to start and then it can calm down. Give it at least a couple of weeks more for your body to adapt and then if it is no better then speak to your doctor.

    Can I also recommend taking some vitamin d and b12 as PPIs can lower your absorption of vitamins.
