Next step after blood test?

Hi all,

My daughter's blood test came back positive for Celiac. I've been told by lots of people that she will now need a biopsy or another test to confirm but the doctor said she might not.

She is 10.

Can anyone tell me what they next step was for them at this stage please and how long it took?

    Hi Rachel

    Yes, the best thing to do is get a Biopsy done. This will give her an absolute medical confirmation of Celiac.

    I scheduled an appointment for the biopsy, was only about a week wait. After the biopsy the doctor called my with the results 2 or 3 days later.

    And be sure that she stays on a full gluten diet unitl after the biopsy.

    Hi

    When my results came back positive for celiac disease I was not told to have any further tests at all..simply was seen by a dietician and changed my diet completely.
