I would like to thank all of you that have responded to any of my posts your feedback is instrumental to recovery. I was very anxious prior to op and this anxiety has carried on much to my surprise so much so after having a telephone conversation today my right arm was flipping and smacking uncontrollably! I have since sat down and thought about the past two weeks.

- Dealing with being off work 4 wks prior to op

- going in for op

- having the op

- only having paracetamol for first 12hrs after op!!

- coming home

- night sweats 4/5 episodes per night

- sleeping for England!!

i finally did my makeup and hair today gave myself a good talking to (in front of the mirror!) I felt happy for the first time in weeks, I felt all I have to do now is recover from the op! Fingers crossed this is it... This is me all my problems xx have gone I just need to heal!! And I smiled just that little bit harder and have had the most positive day yet!! ( apart from trapped wind and normal pains)!! You have helped me get here I know it's early, but thank you!!

biggrin its amazing isn't it , you get caught in the whirlpool of everything leading to the op, the op, coming home and then you realise how much you have gone through.

Keep healing and sleeping for England, i'm 12 weeks on from myomectomy and back to normal apart from the numb stomach which i think will always be at this rate

Go girl. A bit of pampering and being selfish is a great step to recovery.

the joys of on line indulgence shopping has kept me going.

"enjoy" the enforced rest. It won't come this way again for any of us.

Yeahhhhh to the smiles smile im just a week ahead of you just over 2 weeks post op and gas pains subsided this week so another positive to look forward to. Can you have hrt? That would help with sweats. Im yet to experience any but whispering that as I dont want to jinx it but I was given livial tablets which I took from day 2. Its not til we look back we see what we've got through and just need to remember to take it easy when we need to. I did a few loads of washing today and made cakes with my daughter but did feel bit sore afterwards so taking it easy this evening. Im not looking forward to going back to work in 2 weeks because I seem to be able to have an hour or so of energy and 22 hours of being shattered. Really pleased you getting on so well, heres to the next few weeks of even better x

I'm already on htr have been for 8 weeks now due to having zoladex treatment before surgery!

      Livial is what I'm on!

Do you have to go back in two weeks? Most Drs seem very good on you saying when you're ready!

In which case maybe ive still got them to look forward to or im lucky! I had to come off zoladex as had week long migraines so had to hope endo didn't grow back too much between surgeries. I had hormone tests done so know I had normal levels beforehand. It seems very strange to me that I have bits of me missing especially ovaries. I had heavy bleed a few days back and convinced myself that they'd forgotten to do op and it was a period! Shows how we are all different. How are you finding livial? X

I haven't got to have a review with anyone. Back to hospital but not til August and fit note only given for 4 weeks. I have made drs appointment as need to check livial sting me and repeat prescription but unfortunately my dr on holiday so got to see someone else so not sure if they'll be as understanding and let me have any more time to recover.

Most drs do have a heart, and you have had major surgery, my consultant suggested full 12 weeks to me! But I'm thinking will go back just in time for summer hols so I can go back onto full pay for summer! Which will be 8wks for me!! But only looking at returning to work for 2 days before summer break!

livial, up until today I have referred to as tibolone it was only after googling Livial after cons suggested change of hrt to find its one in the same! My consultant then apologised that she'd missed that I was already on it and suggests unfortunately got to grin and bear it as it's most probably the zoladex that's causing the sweats as that treatment now has nowhere to go its a monthly implant had last one wk before op!

That makes sense. Im only on livial for 6 months then can go onto estrogen only until my 50s 10+ years of it ??? are you the same? Did you have endo too?

Yes endo plus many years of problems previous pc ovaries although I think they were ok I ended up in hospital before christmas and found out my uterus was sat heavy on my bladder things snowballed from there heavy PV bleeding started at Easter which could only be cotrolled by lots of drugs that saw me put on a stone in 4 weeks and no way of returning to work with all the pressure on my bladder and threat of bleeding at any moment, a quick change of consultant back to my obstetric consultant she brought me to  surgery within 5 weeks! Amazing quick story! Oh and I almost stopped breathing on previous stay in hospital before surgery due to reaction to morphine - hence just paracetamol after surgery!!

Omg makes my endo and cysts sound like a walk in the park lol. Ive just turned 40. I put a stone on with the zoladex injection and I only had 1. Nasty stuff. Im hoping that once move to estrogen I may lose some more weight.... wishful thinking me thinks wink
