Night Sweats

Anyone else have night sweats. My brow and face get hot and clammy and chest gets hot as well. This disturbs my sleep. I am post menopausal so I think this isn't hormonal but linked to LS. Any ideas how to deal with this at times debilitating problem. I am 63 have chronic fatigue which is effectively an autoimmune condition. Have pretty strict nutritional regime via nutritional therapist.

Hi Aileen, Yes I still have a degree of night sweats, and occasional flushes in the day. I am 74 but still blame the menopause. It is nothing like as bad as during the menopause but has just dragged on. I haven't linked it to LS at all.

Hi Ann
Thanks for your response. I had mega easy menopause no sweats my periods just stopped and that was pretty much it. So the night sweats experience is new for me and has persisted over last six to nine months so I have linked it to LS. At times it feels like a fever. Sure I've read if others on this site somewhere linking the problem to LS.

Aileen I too have chronic fatigue and experience hot flushes during day and sometimes night also very cold feet
I am 68 I now put these ‘hots’ down to diet and exercise.
Some time ago I was told by my acupuncture practitioner whom I see regularly that my lymphatic system very sluggish and so I needed to do appropriate exercise for my capabilities
I now do Kundalini Yoga which is mainly concentrate on breathing and simple exercises that you can adapt easily.
I don’t have sugar ( as far as possible ) diary, chocolate or wheat Not anal about it but keep pretty strict with myself. Still drink 🍷 🍷 as my guilty pleasure at weekends with family
I am feeling lots better in myself and energy levels, LS, joint pain are all improving greatly.
So think we have to look to our selves what we put into body to make it work for us
Maybe couple things may help you too
Love x

Hi Aileen. I'm post menopausal too and still get mild night flushes (no sweating now) basically I have to throw the covers off me for 5 mins to cool down. I think it is stomach related with me. I have noticed them more prevalent when I have been 'naughty' and eaten sugar and wheat. Over the last few years I have become lactose and wheat/gluten intolerant. Lots of women I know still have night flushes even though they are post menopausal. Menopause. - the gift Tha just keeps on giving !!! 😈 xx
