Night sweats

Yet another awful sweaty damp broken nights sleep. I’m waking at least 15/20 times a night. I feel like a total zombie most of the time and I’m really struggling to cope with all of this. My family are so fed up of me constantly moaning or crying or exploding over the most ridiculous thing. I’m on hrt but surely I should be feeling better than this by now. What’s happened to me. I no longer feel myself physically or mentallly. Sorry for the rant I’m just really struggling with all of this

    Hi

Have you tried kalms before bed? I have a glass of water at the side of me with the window slightly open. I try not to look at my phone an hour before bed. I was waking up sweating and panicking but I’m sleeping a little better now.

No I haven’t. I will give it a go. I’m on hrt and take herbal remedies all which are supposed to help. It’s the lack of sleep and night sweats that I’m struggling with the most. The hrt has helped with other menopausal symptoms just not these

I also have a fan on and the window open and try to get make bedtime as relaxing as possible. Getting to sleep isn’t such a problem. It’s staying asleep. Once the sweats start it’s almost impossible to get back to sleep. Seeing the gp again in a few weeks so hoping to get more answers

I am 48 and just started with with the night sweat. I thought I had a fever or getting sick. My doctor is telling me that I am not going through premenopausal. I don’t know what to do. I hope it gets better.

Have you had a blood test. It sounds menopausal to me. Maybe see a different doctor which was what I had to do before finally getting hrt. I hope you get things sorted

Hi Samantha sorry to hear you're suffering with this. How long have you been taking HRT ? It can take a while to get the dose right. I would speak to your GP again as it sounds like you need either a higher dose or try a different type. If your GP isn't helpful or you've been struggling with HRT for a while I would ask for a referal to a menopause clinic. I would also check with the pharmacist about taking supplements along side hrt as some of them can interact.
