nightmares

How do i deal with my shell shock nightmares, I've had them for 45 years.

Any comments from those who can relate to this.

    Have you tried the website www.getmeselfhelp.org, well i think that's the site it has tips for dealing with PTSD. Good luck that sounds awful,poor you.

      Hi Sam Thank you for the info, when i googled www.getmeselfhelp.org it came up not recognized.

      We all have some thing that bothers us thats mine, i haven't given up because I'm still here.

      Hi john, the website definitely has a name like that, you should get it somehow, you're looking for something called grounding techniques. They make think of the here and now. I'm glad you've not gives up that would be no use at all. I wish you luck and i hope you find a way to manage.

      Hi Sam, Yes i will because of my beliefs, i've found an old book on philosophy, it helps me see the bigger picture of my life.

    Hi John, you could ask your GP for a referral for EMDR therapy.

      Hello Rosie, Funny you should mention EMDR, my psychiatrist has put me on a waiting list for this therapy, so far i've been waiting only a year.
