Nighttime Tremors

Hello Everyone!
So I've been experiencing tremors for a while now. It happens when I'm falling asleep. I'll feel an internal tremor in my legs and the back of my neck. Feels like an internal shake or like a live wire is running through my body. If I dose off and wake early in my sleep cycle my whole body will do a bit of a shake.
A little background is, in January I had a bad reaction to an upped dose of levothyroxine. It caused major tremors and sweats and racing heart whenever I would sleep. I havent had those major problems since I stopped taking it, but the shaking bit has come into my life while trying to sleep.
Its honestly just frightening. It's been months of this, but it's been especially bad these past couple of weeks to the point where I'm afraid of going to sleep. Right now my legs feel like they're buzzing.
Does anyone else have this problem? I just don't know if it's anxiety or a physical problem (which, the thought of ups my anxiety). My endocrinologist is trying to help pinpoint the underlying cause.

I too suffer from night leg tremors. It's very uncomfortable. I found tensing my legs really tight and then letting go with a deep breath several times settles them down a bit. I also take Melatonin to help me sleep. Magnesium is very good for muscle relaxation so I take one tsp of powdered magnesium in hot water each night. Our muscles have been tense for soooooo long they are in perm shake mode when we try to rest. It's a matter of retraining our muscle memory and brain. In the meantime OTC stuff helps me.
If you look up internal tremors and anxiety, they are a top symptom for many.

Thank-you so much for your response! I'm going to try the tensing my muscles thing and see if it helps. Melatonin has been suggested to me by my therapist. I'm iffy on meds, but I know it's a natural supplement so I guess it couldn't hurt trying. I have a fear of anything that sedates me...

I get these! It feels like my limbs are vibrating! Also sometimes when I wake up I feel like I'm shaking my whole body but I'm not! My doctor gave me klonopin for it and I slept very well last night! No restlessness! Try to get some it helps, it's a muscle relaxer, anti anxiety and sleep aide!

Hi! Thanks so much for responding ?? My doctor has prescribed me clonazepam as needed. I've taken it twice before but really don't like how those meds make me feel. I have an immense fear of not being in control of my body. Those meds make me feel like my body is sedated but my mind is still racing, until I pass out. It's extremely unpleasant.

YES I took 2 for the first time last night and I was very wobbly when walking kinda disoriented, but I went straight to bed and didn't wake up all night! Is is a weird feeling but I hadn't slept in 3 days so I didn't care about how it made me feel
