Nissen fundo surgery advised against

Posted , 1 user is following.

I have a hiatus hernia with reflux. My surgeon recommended it's risky to have this surgery during Covid. One of the main risks would be the surgery failing if you develop covid symptoms (like a cough) could losen the wrap. There are also serious issues too that could develop.

Anyone else heard this? I am in an area of high covid, but i doubt this is ever going to go away. I am double vaccinated.
