Nitro cream for thrombosed hemorrhoids

hello all.

Ive been struggling with internal and external hemorrhoids for many years. theyve never really bothered me until about a month ago. Gradual pain and swelling and alot of blood. filling the bowl with blood at every BM. miraculously it subsided after about 3 weeks.

Well I woke up yesterday morning after having diarrhea for a couple of days to a painful swollen monster. I had to go to the ER. They drained it, with a scalpel, but she was unable to get the whole clot out. I have an appointment next week with a surgeon and she sent me home with proctofoam and nitro cream. My pharmacy had to order both and should hopefully have them later today.

So my original question is, does the nitro cream help to shrink this thing further? How about the proctofoam?

Im in so much pain with these open wounds and it still being thrombosed.

Thanks for your advice

i would say you got a numbing agent and a cleaner so should provide some relief. I would take a tylenol or ibuprofen to help with pain as well. Those hurt so bad sorry
