NO acl

Anyone on here not have an acl? I have had arthroscopic surgery to fix my lateral and medial meniscus and doctor removed acl because it was ruptured. I plan on having the surgery because my knee is very unstable I'm just trying to work as long as possible first.

Did your doctor discuss the plan to remove your ACL before going in? (IM NOT A DOCTOR) Id have thought they'd remove your ruptured ACL and replace it all at once so you don't have to have more surgeries.  Good luck and I hope you have a full recovery. If you are young and haven't had too many knee issues an ACL restructuring should do you a lot of good if you follow your PT plan.

I knew going into surgery that my doctor couldn't do acl at the same time as fixing my lateral and medial meniscus because I didn't have range of motion because of the severity of he injury. Idea was surgery then rehab then surgery if needed.  I have to have the ACL surgery because even walking is a challenge for me. I'm just trying to work for some time first. I wear a very protective brace every day and do the best I can until surgery.  This is my first knee injury and just want me leg back to normal. Thanks for your reply
