No anesthesia?

My friend had cancer and a lot of surgeries. She is 72. The problem is that she has a huge hernia. She is telling me that the doctors are saying that she can't have surgery because she can't be put under anymore due to so many surgeries. I don't understand! She ry obviously needs surgery. What is she suppose too? What if she doesn't have surgery? Can anyone help?

    She should get more opinions.

Can she have just a local anaesthesia?

If she has an inguinal or femoral hernia it may stragulate especially femoral type hernia.

It may depend on her overall general health. I have had multiple surgeries and anaesthesia and have never been told this.

Best of luck to your friend.
