No BM for 13 day, please help.

I haven't had a BM in 13 days! I went to my doctor this morning and told him about me not having any BM, I was in so much pain this morning I was crying as he was in the room with me. He looked at me and said "you're fine". I have tried Fleet suppositories/enemas, laxative pills (they give me violent cramps) and fiber. I'm not sure what to do. I am having nausea, but no vomiting, mild headache, bloating and bad pain in about 4 spots of my abdomen. Should I go to the ER or keeping doing what I am doing?

Hey Alexandria, I'm just going to give you my opinion on my previous experiences. And with what you just said. I'd say go to the er. I recently last November went to the hospital twice for this same issue and mine was actually way longer than 13 days believe it or not. Very very scary. Trust me, I know how uncomfortable it can be. I cried for days, weeks, miserable, could barely move, tried everything but was also afraid to do some of the options myself.. So anyways, I went to the er. Both times they administered a milk of mollasses enema I think it was, which worked wonders. I am telling you. The only reason I went back the second time, was because the first time not everything came out. So 3 days after they discharged me I went back to go through the same exact thing and they made sure everything came out this time. It wasn't comfortable and was painful for me, but I was much farther along without going so it was so built up, it became almost rock form and huge. Gross. But I am surprised how well what they used worked, it made everything come out so fast. Compared to what it would of been like at home. Sorry if this is tmi ..

Just trying to help though. But I'd say because of where you are and what you've tried, I'd go. But after you get things moving you need to figure out whatever it is that's getting you this backed up.

My life savor literally is miralax, I take it everyday and have had zero problem since. I will probably never stop taking it. But I'm totally cool with that especially what I've been through. I would 100% recommend it to you. But I am on medication that causes me to get severely backed up, but diet, staying hydrated, all plays a huge part in this problem.

I truly hope this helps in some way. Might not be what you want to hear. But I've been there, hang in there, it will get better. promise.

    Hi:

Sorry to hear of your misery.

Try Castor Oil. A large soup spoon in the evening. Once you have had a good bowel movement you can discontinue as it will give you diarrhea, but always keep some handy in your medicine cabinet.

Add ground flax seed to everything you eat. It’s a great source of fiber.

    Drink lots of water.

    I hope this helps you.

Could you provide details of which type of castor oil you use and where to purshace please? Need something to ease discomfort!

You can purchase Castor oil in the pharmacy. Make sure it says for use as a laxative and not for the hair. Many people from the Caribbean use Castor oil in their hair.

      Hope this is helpful.

First, I would go to the ER and FORCE them to check there are no blockages. This is NOT NORMAL and your doctor should be sued!

If you do this and still no luck, please comment back I have a few things that will work, but nothing will work if there is a blockage.

    Thanks

Try Castor oil, you can purchase at any pharmacy. One large soup spoon at bedtime. Take at bedtime Colace 100 mg as a stool softener each night. Take 3 pills nightly.

Flax seed ground at each meal is a great source of fiber. Use two large soup spoons every day until you go.

Also, change your diet and go dairy free.

    Drink plenty of water.

    I hope this is helpful.

Miralax is the best.  Take a regular dose every night in any liquid.  I predict you'll be cured in a few days.  Works for me.
