I was on 30/500 morning and night with paracetamol lunch and teatime. Stuck to the paracetamol today as tummy feels bloated. Must get some lavender oil. Feeling OK now but a bit woozy earlier. Think I'll sleep without them for a few hours at least.

Strangely enough, since I have stopped taking co codamol 30/500, I have got really twitchy restless legs - now that could be nerves knitting together still, I don't know. I have been on co codamol  for s long time pre op and found they have suited me well.

Bound to be some withdrawal symptoms I would think as they are opiates

Just taken 2 now to see if it makes any difference. Sleep tight!

Classic withdrawel effects, but if you can manange the pain without them then stick with it, the withdrawel symptoms only last a week or so, but if you need to take them then ask your gp for some laxil powders, they keep you regular, any opiate will cause constipation, good luck, as for the sleeping i agree with the lavender oil, also a cup of sleepytime herbal teajust before bed.

You can buy the 8mg cocodamol over the counter.  I use one 8mg with one paracetamol and I'm now only doing this once a day unless I've had a busy day and feeling a wee bit stiff or achy.

    Hi,

I'm at day 13 and no painkillers during day. I am taking one 50mg tramadol at night but that's more to help with the back ache than hip which seems to be fine. However, I am slightly sleeping on operated side, with some propping up with pillows.

I get staples out tomorrow so might be different story tomorrow night if wound sore.

    Hope your pain reduces soon!

    Karen
