i take up to ten or more 10mg diazepam a day but it has no effect on me. It should have some effect shouldn't it.     I buy my pills on the net. Perhaps they are not the real thing.....has anybody noticed this effect?

Hi Milly I found te site we were talking about & it is not for me. Roughly it says meet your partner through friends & work colleagues. As I'm retired I don't work & I certainly have no friends ........I haven't seen my sister for about 5 years & she lives round the corner. As for the rest they got married about 30 years ago & I haven't seen them since..plus I never leave the house cept go to the corner shop also I never use pubs cause I take Warfarin which it is dangerous to drink with.......I also once had a drink problem which we shan't go into. But thanks once again for trying to help me.........Roy.

      Hello Roy,

I have no regrets about trying to help you ,I never had and I never will. I am just so sorry what advice I give you didnt work ,or as you said ,it wasn`t for you.

The 2 men I was referring to Roy were 2 men in your situation, who said they had found happiness, and for others in the same situation to contact them. This I would have thought beena good opportunity to talk with people who would know exactly how you yourself feel .

However if it doesn`t appeal to you ,or you feel it is not what you want ,then I am unable to suggest any more.

But please do keep in touch ,who knows Roy something may just come along that you feel Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh now that is what I want and is what I need ..I do hope so.I am so sorry that your family don`t seem to want to bother to tey and help you ,but sometimes some families are like that ,sad as it may be .I will keep looking Roy,and if I see something that I feel MAYBE what you need or what you want ,then I will post in onto you in here .

      Take Care

      Milly

Hi just seen this. I was prescribed diazepam last year by my GP here in the UK for an intense fear of flying. he said it would make me relaxed and bit drowsy so would be less anxious about boarding the plan. I was given 2mgs which did nothing so I up'd it to 4mgs, still nothing. no calming effect, no drowsiness. I researched the maximum safe dosage which came up as 10mg so I took that. you've guessed it no effect. if anything I felt more awake. this was medication from an nhs chemist. no dogey crap off the internet. I have spoken to other people who it has no edfwvr on either so some people must just be resilient to it. I do take regular strong codiene for chronic migraines so maybe this has built up my resilience to some types of medication? The only thing I found that worked was when the doctor prescribed Propranolol for me which doesnt make you drowsy but slows your heart rate down and stops the physical symptoms of anxiety. Hope this helps.
